今年から全レッスンの中に英語の本読みを取り入れることにしました。英会話のレッスンだと、どうしても会話中心のレッスンになりがちです。もちろんフレーズをどんどん覚えていくことは必要ですが、英語を身に着けていくためには話す、聞く、書く、読むの4つのスキルが必要です。 私たちのレッスンでは、会話だけではなく全体的な英語力をのばしていくことを重視しています。本読みをすることによって、読解力を伸ばし、単語、発音、フレーズを覚えていくことができます。また、レッスンのレベルに合わせて読む本のレベルが変わります。家で、自分で英語の本を読もうと思っても、どの本を読んだらいいのか、読み始めてもなかなか続かないということがあると思います。なので、レッスンの中で一緒に読む練習をして、家でも練習をしてもらう。また読んだページについての理解を深めていくという取り組みをします。すでに、本読みをとりいれたレッスンをされている生徒さんたちがいますが、本読みをすることで英語力が確実に伸びていっています。
